Salvation

Salvation is a free gift from God, offered to all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The Bible clearly outlines the steps we must take to receive this precious gift.

 Recognize Your Sinfulness

The first step is to acknowledge that we are all sinners and that our sins separate us from God (Romans 3:23). We must repent of our sins and turn away from our wicked ways (Acts 2:38).

Believe in Jesus Christ

The next step is to believe that Jesus Christ is the only one who can save us from our sins. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, and He rose again, conquering death (Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Accept Jesus as Lord

To receive salvation, we must not only believe in Jesus but also accept Him as Lord of our lives. This means surrendering our own desires and submitting to His authority (Romans 10:9).

Confess

After we have accepted Jesus as our Savior, we must publicly confess our faith in Him. This can be done through baptism or simply by sharing our testimony with others (Romans 10:10; Matthew 10:32).

 Live a Godly Life

Once we have received salvation, we must strive to live a life that is pleasing to God. This involves following His commandments, pursuing righteousness, and bearing the fruit of the Spirit (Ephesians 2:10; 1 John 2:3-6).

Persevere in Faith

Salvation is not a one-time event but a journey that requires perseverance. We must remain faithful to Jesus throughout our lives, even in the face of challenges and temptations (Hebrews 10:39).

Receive the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God's gift to believers. He indwells us, guides us into truth, and empowers us to live a godly life (Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13-14).

Receiving salvation is a transformative experience that brings us into a right relationship with God. It is a gift that is freely offered, but it requires our willingness to repent, believe, and obey. By following these steps, we can experience the joy and peace that comes from knowing that we are saved through the grace of God.
